Brett’s Dan Armstrong ADA6 a reissue of the lucite body guitar made in Japan. This guitar came to me needing a lot of repair work but the results were well worth it, as it now plays and sounds as good as anyone could ask for!

Years ago I had an original Dan Armstrong that I got in trade from my old friend Marc Vachon (of Mad Society). Greg Finn played these guitars at the time and as much as I wanted to make the Dan Armstrong work for me alas, I could not. There was an issue with neck/body pocket that affected the tuning stability. This was in the early 80s and I haven’t yet developed my guitar tech skill and/or wasn’t brave enough to find a way to fix it, so ended up I moving it on pretty quickly. If I had my old Ampeg ADA6 today I’m sure I’d find a cure for it in not time. Live and learn!
