The Guitars of Brett Gurewitz

My longtime dear friend Brett recently put me to work on a few of his guitars. We were catching up on a call and I was telling him about my guitar tech work when he propositioned me to work on his guitars.

This came as quite a surprise to me, as my assumption was that he would have already had a longstanding relationship with his favored guitar tech, but that was not to be the case.

Needless to say I jumped at the opprotunity to help my friend out and make his guitars perform as best they can. Not to mention getting to spend a little time playing a few of these gems was pretty awesome, especially after I performed my work. I was a little sad to see a couple of them go back but these are Brett’s working guitars that are frequently being used for his writing, recording and producing efforts.

Certainly they will be better off used by Brett as more people will get to hear these fabulous instruments through his fingers than mine, and I am alright with it. That said, I really enjoyed the time I shared with his guitars!
